Dog the movie – a dog trainers review

The movie, Dog, with Channing Tatum is a movie about a dog suffering PTSD. Well, on the surface anyway… the movie is about much more. The premise of the story is a soldier transporting a severely mentally damaged war dog cross country to the dogs former handler’s funeral. Unlike many movies featuring dogs, this movie sticks to actual trained dogs doing real life things. What I liked is that they didn’t show the dog doing unrealistic things. Some movies with dogs in them show dogs doing things that a dog would just never do. The dog in this movie is in serious need of patients and bonding, and to feel useful and “worked”. Turns out the solider needed that as well. Loved this movie. Strongly recommend this movie for all dog lovers.
