Sniffing is good “Mental Health“
I teach dogs to walk in very formal heel command. Your dog learns to stay at your side while walking. This is very useful when passing other dogs and distractions during a walk. However, I’m always telling clients dogs need to be a dog. Walking freely (without pulling) sniffing around and being a dog is good mental health.
